Welcome to the website for Nu Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. We are excited to be celebrating 100 years of sisterhood. Our founders at Howard University began this organization with the motto of service to all mankind and each member of Nu Iota Omega is upholding the founders' vision by providing service to her community.

Our celebration of 100 years of service continues in our recognition of our elders. We honor the foundation they laid for us and the pathways they cleared so that our way might be easier.

We then swing our attention to our future by assisting new mothers. Our goal is to provide them with resources to raise the next generation of strong, well educated leaders.

2008 marks our 8th Annual Robin Lynn Young Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament. This tournament is dedicated to our lovely sister who was Vice President of Nu Iota Omega at the time of her death. Robin was a graduate of Florida State University's College of Law. She worked for the Orange County Public Defender's Office and as a staff attorney for the Florida Bar. She also served her community as a Guardian Ad Litem and volunteered in numerous community activities. Robin was a great sister and a good friend who is truly missed by the members of our chapter.

A portion of all proceeds from this tournament benefits the Robin Lynn Young Memorial Scholarship given to a student enrolled at Florida State University College of Law. The remaining portion supports Nu Iota Omega chapter's community service activities.

Again this year's tournament will be held at the Celebration Golf Club in Celebration, Florida. Tournament fees are $100.00 per golfer and $75.00 per participant in the Golf Clinic.
