The members of this chapter are excited to be able to continue providing service to all mankind for another 100 years. Though our service territory is North Orange and South Seminole counties you will frequently see us involved in community activities throughout Central Florida.

Emotional Spiritual and Physical Healing
June 26, 2010. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® world wide will link arms in its second Synchronized Solidarity Walk for Emotional, Spiritual and Physical Healing. The walk is aimed at raising awareness about the importance of fitness. Stepping off at the same time the Sorority will also use this occasion to underscore our unity, solidarity and strength as a sisterhood. In tribute to the year 2010, we will walk 2.10 miles.
This is the second time our sorority has hosted this event. The global walk was originally held in 2008, the year we celebrated our Centennial. The walk yielded such results and sisterly love, our sorority decided to host it again.
Sorors from every region including Canada, Germany, the Virgin Islands the continent of Africa and the Bahamas will be participating. Our walk is being coordinated by our International Program Committee Chairman, Mrs. Loann Honesty King.
Locally, Nu Iota Omega Chapter along with all other Orlando area chapters (Delta Omicron Omega, Kappa Sigma Omega, Psi Theta Omega and Pi Psi) will meet at the Pavilion at Lake Eola at 10:45 a.m. Our walk will be lead by the leaders of each chapter and will promptly start at 11:00 a.m.
