Soror the Year 2010
Nu Iota Omega's Greenest Ivy
Ebony Mosley
Soror Ebony Mosley joined the sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. on October 14, 2007 and has since demonstrated her leadership skills, hunger, and a stern humility to learn the Alpha Kappa Alpha way!
To date, Soror Ebony is a member of eight committees (Unity Heritage, Publicity, Membership, Scholarship, Founders' Day, Fundraising, Every Student Prospers by Reading, and Senior Sweetheart Luncheon). Not only is she a member of each of these committees, she also took on leadership roles and responsibilities. For example, she represented Nu Iota Omega as a delegate for the 2010 Boule in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition, earlier this year Soror Ebony volunteered to head up the reclamation efforts to reclaim sorors. She, along side the Membership Chairman, created a direct marketing campaign. This campaign included sending out personalized invitations to inactive sorors in the areas, as well as creating a reclamation day theme for the entire chapter.
Furthermore, Soror Ebony is creative and has an eye for design and detail. Some of the ways in which she demonstrated these abilities was by creating a beautiful program for the Senior Sweetheart Luncheon in 2009 and 2010 as well as by creating several event surveys.
Although Soror Ebony is one of our younger sorors in the Nu Iota Omega Chapter, she has certainly filled the pink and green slippers of many of the seasoned sorors. She has and continues to be an inspiration to our chapter and to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
