Nu Iota Omega's Greenest Ivy

Criteria

Nu Iota Omega's Greenest Ivy must be financially active and active the year prior to her nomination. She must not have held this position in the past five (5) years. A letter of recommendation must be submitted by a financially active member in the chapter. This letter must address all criteria as noted in the Soror of the Year Guidelines and the nominee's criteria must be based on the prior calendar year to the present.

Michelle Thornton-TaylorFebruary 20, 2010. Soror Michelle is truly an outstanding Alpha Kappa Alpha Woman who has been consistently involved in several chapter events year after year. Those events include the Robin Lynn Young Golf Tournament, the Seniors Luncheon and the Community Service awards, just to name a few.

Soror Michelle was initiated into Nu Iota Omega Chapter in 1992 and has been faithful in her financial obligations to the sorority each year. Her dedication to Nu Iota Omega chapter includes having served in several leadership positions. Those include the position of Basileus, Cluster II Conference Registration chairperson, Leadership and Technology Committee chairperson. Soror Michelle's dedication to the sorority also extends past her local chapter. She currently serves on the South Atlantic Regional Heritage Committee.

On the 3rd Saturday of each month, we can count on seeing Soror Michelle sitting in the front of the room attentively listening to the business of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®

Providing service to all mankind with honesty and humility is what Soror Michelle is all about! By giving from the heart and not expecting anything in return, she is certainly deserving of this prestigious award.
