Soror the Year 2001
Nu Iota Omega's Greenest Ivy

Sorors Marnita G. Bland and L. Michelle Woods
On March 2, 2002 Nu Iota Omega commemorates it's annual Founders Day. During this program Nu Iota Omega likes to recognize one of her own as Soror of the Year.
This award recognizes the soror who is the epitome of an Alpha Kappa Alpha woman. She supports the sorority's programs not only financially, but through her time and never ending sense of dedication. When most have been pushed to their limit, she is able to forge on to complete the task.
This year the sorors of Nu Iota Omega did something unprecedented in her 22 years. In the selection of the Soror of the Year, there was a tie! For the year 2001, Nu Iota Omega selected "two" sorors for the Soror of the Year Award.
