July 17th-25th, 2007. The 2007 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Leadership Conference was held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our International President, Barbara McKenzie felt that the members of AKA would do their part to pump some economic life into the city to the tune of $5 million dollars. AKA's presence in New Orleans was for service. The members participated in Feed the Children and in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity helped to build and dedicate several homes in New Orleans' Musician's Village.
