Though our service territory is North Orange and South Seminole counties you will frequently see us involved in community activities throughout Central Florida.

Sharing Our Christmas
December 11, 2009. The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc.©, Nu Iota Omega Chapter in Maitland, FL. were up early on this brisk and cool morning to participate in Share Your Christmas with WESH 2 and CW 18 News Stations Community Food Drive. Our chapter's AKA Connection Committee coordinated this community service event for our fourth quarter food drive. We delivered a car trunk loaded with non-perishable food items to the news station and was featured live on the station at 6:35 a.m. Our chapter also received radio recognition on radio station Magic 107.7 FM present at the event to support the food drive efforts. The Salvation Army was on hand with volunteers to pack our food donations in boxes to deliver to those in need during this holiday season. Sorors also had the opportunity to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This was a great way to start our day by providing service to all mankind.
