January 20-21st, 2008. The ladies of Nu Iota Omega Chapter partnered with the City of Winter Park in celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday through their 6th Annual Unity Heritage Festival in Hannibal Square, Winter Park.

The ladies of Nu Iota Omega manned the health tent located centrally at the festival. Under our tent we provided health screenings for high blood pressure and glucose monitoring. Many thanks to Yolanda Ryan, DePugh Nursing Center Administrator, Joanna Sampath, Marketing Admissions Coordinator and William White all of DePugh Nursing Center to help out in that area.

We also provided health information on Alzheimer's Disease, Diabetes, HIV/AIDS and Sickle Cell Anemia. Many thanks to Fabiola Gaines of Hebni Nutrition Consultants being available to help us with our nutritional needs. Other information under our tent included Voter's Registration Forms and assistance and our very own scholarship information.

A variety of entertainment was provided by C.L. West (Blues Band), First World Drummers and Dancers and our very own steppers.
