November 7, 2009. This free workshop was designed for young males ages 12 -18 (Middle and High School. We invited 4 African-American local business owners to speak to the students. They were to help them recognize/express their talents and educate them on how to make money doing what they love to do. The speakers spoke on topics such as: Recognizing their talent/skill now, having the right mindset, Becoming and staying motivated. The young males were also allowed opportunities to ask questions and participate in various discussions. Each student received a certificate of completion at the end of the day, as well as lunch.
